The Fishmarket Taproom is a restaurant-pub owned and operated by the Baird Brewing Company. Situated adjacent to the original Baird Brewery, the Taproom opened for
business in July 2000 in the fish market area of Numazu, Japan.
The natural decor of wood and brick is warm and inviting. The feel is of an intimate, neighborhood pub where everyone knows
each other. This congenial ambience is reinforced by the large percentage of regular patrons, the common love of beer, and the friendly and engaging presence of owner-hostess-chef, Sayuri Baird.
Music, also, contributes importantly to the environment and mood of the Taproom. We play an eclectic mix of rock (progressive and
classic), blues, country and jazz and, occasionally, we host acoustic live performances (see News & Events for more). Televised sports, too, find their way into
our entertainment agenda -- particularly, American football, baseball, basketball, and international soccer, tennis and golf.
 FOOD
As with Baird Beer, Taproom food is made from scratch, by hand, using only the finest and freshest ingredients.
The food menu has its roots in beer -- it is filled with dishes that are perfect accompaniments to characterful beer. Items
range from light beer mates and salads to original beer-inspired specialties and dinner plates.
Food prices are very reasonable, ranging from 350 yen to 1,000 yen.

BEER & DRINK
 Enjoy the distinctive flavor of Baird Beer straight from the source, on tap. We also
offer a range of classic Belgium beers, a first-rate selection of bourbon and single-malt Scotch, a rotating choice of craft sake, and a host of mixed drinks and non-alcoholic alternatives.
 Reservations are not required except, on occasion, for special events (concerts,
seminars, beer dinners, etc.). In the case of special requests or unusually large groups, we do recommend that you contact us in advance so that we may plan accordingly.
The Taproom is adjacent to the original Baird Brewery and was conceived, specifically, with the intent to provide the ultimate environment for the enjoyment of Baird Beer. Cheers !
