We are pleased to release today two fantastically refreshing Baird Beer summer seasonal brews: Cool Breeze Pils and 1-Year Old Munchner Helles. Both are crisp and refreshing lager beers matched in their quenching
character only by their smooth maltiness.
1) Cool Breeze Pils 2007 (ABV 5.1%):
This annually released summer beer is a Bohemian-style
Pilsner with a wonderfully delicate floral-hop character derived from American Sterling hops. A full five months of post-packaging conditioning renders this classic Pilsner supremely smooth and balanced.
2) 1-Year Old Munchner Helles (ABV 5.%):
Brewed in June, 2006, the wonderful flavor evolution of this Munich-style pale lager provides a
great opportunity to highlight the sublime results that derive from long maturation at appropriately low temperatures (the German word "lager" actually means "to condition"). The chief
benefits derived from this long period of maturation are increased smoothness and roundness of flavor and enhanced depth, or complexity, of flavor.
Both beers are now on tap at our Fishmarket Taproom in
Numazu. The Cool Breeze Pils will be served right next to the 2006 version (while supplies last) which should provide patrons with an interesting taste comparison. Additionally, Baird Beer retailers
throughout Japan will be handling draught and bottle versions of each beer.
Cheers!
Bryan Baird
